In the two and a half years that we've called Provo, Utah home, we've hardly documented the things that we have fallen in love with. Snow capped mountains, frozen lakes and overall the natural beauty that Utah holds. It's truly amazing...and I've really grown to love it here...We've been busier than usual lately. Mom & Dad Haderlie came down for a visit on their way to Las Vegas and then stopped in for lunch on their way back to Idaho...it was such a treat to see them twice in one week! :) We haven't seen them since November @ Thanksgiving!
Other than that, our little household has been completely overtaken by illnesses! Mat started with a cold and then it was passed to me...then back to him...then back to me...and then round two back to me again. It's the sore throat, cough, can't lift your head-think you might sleep forever-the whole nine yards. We are starting to be on the up and up now...hopefully it will stick.
In other news, we've booked our trips for next month!
We can't wait!! We've already started the countdown to our semi-vacation!! (Vacation in the sense of stretching time across many families and functions.) We can't wait to see everyone though!
It completely made me smile! Mat's not one for gifts or the Valentine's day holiday in general so we tend to be very low key. Our first Valentine's Day (which was basically right after we met & started dating), Mat took me to a concert. The second & third Valentine's Day, we made a special dinner (usually lobster or seafood something...) and rented a movie. This year, to be a little different I made a breakfast full of Kneader's French Toast (if you have yet to experience Kneaders French Toast - it's a MUST or just call me, I've got a recipe for it) with the works (strawberries & homemade whip cream). We did splurge though and had sparkling apple cider with breakfast, YUM! 
I made cake truffles, cookie truffles & chocolate truffles! I dipped them in chocolate and tried decorating them in "festive" colors aka the pink coloring. I've been passing the majority of this batch out since they are way to gosh darn tempting to keep in the house!! I'm going to be making another batch in a couple weeks for cooking club...anyone want any?? I'm telling you, these can't stay in my house!
