We Made It!!

We made it, moved in and have already had the adventure begin!

We LOOOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEE Texas!!! It's warm, beautiful and just lovely!!

Pictures to come when we get our internet hooked up and are a little more settled!

Mat starts his 737 (a.k.a. BIG jet) training in 5 weeks! He's got a TON of studying to do, but said his first day was AWESOME!! I'll see if I can't get more info out of him to post.

In the meantime, we hope all is well back in snowy (I can't believe it snowed at the end of May!!) Utah.

So not a vegetarian!

After three days of....

All I am really craving is....

Granted this is not the most calorie friendly item, but man, I want some MEAT.

Maybe in a few more days....

For now, Mat compiled all my vanilla milkshakes into one blender. It will go perfectly with my mac'n'cheese.

He's such a good guy and tries his best not to laugh at my puffy cheeks, but apparently it's hard to resist.

He has mastered the art of instant mashed potatoes though. :)

We also pushed our departure date back to Thursday.

Surgery Success!

Teeth pulled.

Swelling begun.

Pain intense.

Everything went better than the doctor expected.

There were concerns of permanent nerve damage on the lower jaw because of where the wisdom teeth were. Along with sinus cavity damage concerns since both top wisdom teeth had invaded that area.

However, before we left for the surgery, Mat & one of our good friends gave me a blessing and prayed, which helped not only calm me down, but also gave me peace of mind.

There is no nerve damage nor sinus cavity damage - all went great!

Now, recovery begins.

Bring on the mash potatoes, jello, pudding, ice cream, etc.

Even if I'm craving a big juicy cheeseburger with french fries - strawberry jello trumps all.

Mat has been super awesome today taking care of me! He even caught me when I almost fell down the stairs. Ha ha! That was when I still was on the anesthesia.

He's off to Houston for the day tomorrow, he has his official shadow day for the internship.

Quick Updates

- Mat passed his Commercial License Test!!!! He's officially a commercial pilot!! Woo Hoo!!!

- Jen's last day of work for the summer was the 6th! We'll see how long that last! Ha ha!

- Mat has one test left before we leave, which is on the 18th....fingers crossed!

- Jen is getting her wisdom teeth out the 13th....:(

- Mat is off to Houston for the day on the 14th to shadow for his internship.

- Our tentative date of departure is the 19th!
