Come & Gone.

Since tomorrow is the last day of the month and I have posted anything....here's a recap:

My hours were cut at work.
Mat was offered a job in Texas (for after graduation...still unsure about accepting).
We are going to be an aunt/uncle again (my sister is expecting).
We got a new couch!! (Pictures to come!)
I got my hours back and promoted at work!

Beyond that, we've been boring.
And yet, so stinkin' busy!

Will return this week with more updates....when I have more time to write!

The Best is Yet to Be

"As a new year begins and we try to benefit from a proper view of what has gone before,
I plead with you not to dwell on days now gone nor to yearn vainly for yesterdays,
however good those yesterdays may have been.
The past is to be learned from but not lived in.
We look back to claim the embers from glowing experiences but not the ashes.
And when we have learned what we need to learn and have brought with us the best that we have experienced,
then we look ahead and remember that faith is always pointed toward the future.
Faith always has to do with blessings and truths and events
that will yet be efficacious in our lives."
- Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

This quote is from a speech titled,
"The Best is Yet to Be",
given in 2009 and then published in 2010.
I love how apparent we need to be reminded of this time after time,
from two years ago and just as much as now.

This year my goal is to realize and accept
the best is yet to be.

the last of it....

We ended 2010 in a busy ol' fashion!

We spent Christmas in Idaho with the Haderlie family this year!
It was great to see and catch up with those we haven't had a chance to for a while.
It was wonderful to take in the scenery of Utah, Idaho & Wyoming through our drive.
It was fantastic to have my dad with us this year.
This was my dad's FIRST experience on a snowmobile -you can tell from that smile!

It was unbelievably amazing to eat Mom H.'s homemade rolls! Seriously, these rolls are LEGENDARY!
It was awesome for us to take the camera, but forget to take pictures. :)
It was a Christmas to remember!

So long 2010!
This past year included:
Mat becoming a licensed commercial pilot.
Getting my wisdom teeth pulled.
Mat interning with Continental Airlines.
Moving to Houston, Texas & back to Utah.
Travelling....everywhere.
My very own kitchen aid mixer.
Celebrating 3 years of marriage.
Having an awesome birthday
Going to a Lady A concert.
Oregon for Thanksgiving & then Idaho for Christmas.
Surviving a crash.
And a HUGE goal accomplished...a blog post each month in 2010!
